Creepy!!

Ok, so Clay always tells me that I am psychic. He can hardly surprise me because I can just feel like something is happening. One time two years ago when Clay was working offshore, I was driving back to Houston from my parents house. I just thought, I feel like something is going on. So I was bored driving and thought I'll call Clay's cell phone. If he is still offshore it will go strait to voicemail, and if it rings then something is up. Well I dialed and it RANG. He ignored the call but I was thinking....Oh my goodness, he is on land!!!! He called me right back and said, "What are you doing calling this phone?" hahahaha I knew it!!

I just thought my incite was just between me and Clay, well, today had nothing to do with Clay.

Last night I had a dream that a helicopter landed in our cul-de-sac. It would be a great place for a helicopter. There are no power lines, it is really round, perfect for a helicopter. I didn't think anything of it. I have weird random dreams all the time.

Well guess what happened tonight?!?!?! I was turning the water on in the bathtub getting Wade ready for his bath, and the house started shaking. "What the heck is that!!" I go outside and no kidding there is a helicopter in the middle of my street. Just a block down from where it landed in my dream. Are you kidding me? Am I dreaming now? Wow!

Wade just loved to see the big helicopter on our street and see it take off. Turns out a lady who was visiting her sister had a stroke, a heart attack, or a diabetic incident. No one really had a clear story as to what really happened. A Life Flight helicopter came and got her, I do know that much.

Here are a couple of pictures to show you proof that this really did happen.

Summer time!!!

We are ready for summer down here in Houston!! We have been having fun in the sun (and in the a/c as much as possible). We try to hit the splash pad at least once a month, and Wade LOVES to play with ice on the back porch. We do this almost everyday. Wade is really trying to talk these days too. He has some words down and some words only I can understand (we call his language Wadeish). The other day he was looking at his book and turning the pages saying "happ-y, happ-y, happ-y". It was so cute!

We are in full fledged discipline mode here. Wade is approaching the terrible two's and I am trying to lay down the law early and let him know that he can't get away with murder and cannot have whatever he wants. So far so good! He does have to sit in time out two to three times a week but I can see that he knows I mean business when I say NO! We'll see what the future holds. I'm trying to stick to my guns.

I am also trying to keep up the running as best I can. I took a month off after the half marathon and pretty much lost all of my endurance. I am still fighting these darned shin splints. I'm in a running club and we just ran a 5k. I finished, it wasn't pretty, but I finished. Clay decided to run this one with me and he did great! I can't wait for the day when Wade can run those 1 mile kid fun runs with us.

Wade and I took a small road trip out to Chapel Hill with some of our friends to get some bluebonnet pictures.

Clay is HOME!!!!!

Clay is finally home!!! We are soooo excited. Wade LOVES his daddy so much. It is so awesome to see them together. I am so glad to have him back. Clay was offshore installing a new rig out in the Gulf of Mexico for a month and a half, and before that he was in Corpus Christi for about 4 months getting the rig ready to sail. He has been home for a week now and we are all still adjusting to each other again. We are just glad to have everything back to normal. I have already put him to work here. Hanging things on the walls, mowing the lawn, painting the kitchen.
Here are a few pictures of Clay hard at work out there in the deep blue sea.
Here he is on the deck of the ship working with the riggers. (actually doing some manual labor)
Here he is on the bridge overseeing many operations. This is where he said he spent most of his time.
On the deck of the ship with the rig (Thunderhawk) behind him.
This is the ship he was on for the month and a half he was out there.
And this is Thunderhawk!!! INSTALLED!!! YAY! Clay has literally been working on this project since before Wade as born. Now onto the next one.

Fun Photos

Not too much to say in this post. Just a few pictures of my little guy. I know every parent says it but it is just so hard to believe how fast kids grow up. Thank God for pictures because I can hardly remember this little boy as a baby.
Look how big this little guy is getting.
He loves puzzles! Here he is just after putting this one back together.
All smiles.
I think this might be Wade's 5th haircut. He did so good. (still a little timid though)

The Trains at Zube Park!!!

Our playgroup got together this past Saturday at this super fun place to ride the trains. Wade loved it! We had so much fun and can't wait to take daddy when he gets back.

Here is Wade in line waiting to get on the train. It gets really crowed there!

Still waiting!

Look at these little trains....too cute!

Wade holding on as we ride around in the "forest".

Here we are pulling up to the train station.
Here are some of the things we saw along the way.

Fun times in Mansfield

Wade and I had to take a trip up to Mansfield to help out my sister while my mom was out of town. We had to keep ourselves busy up there too.

We went to Chuck E Cheese with my sister and her 3 kiddos on rainy day up there. Here are my two older nieces, Avery and Rylee.

On the way to Chuck E Cheese Avery and Wade got to watch Veggie Tails in aunt Chelle's car.

Fun times at Chuck E Cheese!!!

We also went and spent a little time with Clay's dad, Becky, and Melissa. We didn't get to stay long, but it was still good to see them. Here is Wade with his Poppa.

Wade LOVES to hang out on Memaw's deck. He found some of Avery's mud boots and would not take them off. He loved them.
